Cops: Florham Park Men Stole Jewelry, Silverware

Alleged theft occurred from home being watched by owner's friend, authorities said.

Two Florham Park men have been charged with stealing jewelry and silverware from a borough home that was being watched by the homeowner's friend, authorities said.

Mark Mucci, 33, and Scott DiLauri, 38, were arrested Thursday at about 1 p.m., and charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft after a monthlong investigation, said in a news release.

Det. Paul Kosakowski, who conducted the investigation with the assistance of Detective Kenneth Shannon, arrested the defendants after they turned themselves in at Madison police headquarters, police said.

Patrolman James Cavezza received the initial report from about items missing from the resident's home, according to police.

Mucci and DiLauri were processed and released on $10,000 bail, police said.
