Chatham Woman Had 3 Failure to Appear Warrants in Madison

The Madison Police Department arrested Felicia Monday, 45, of Chatham Borough, on Sunday on the strength of three failure to appear warrants for traffic and criminal offenses issued by Madison Municipal Court in the amount of $600. Patrolman Anthony Maccario, who made the arrest, was contacted by the Summit Police Department, which had Monday in custody.

She was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing she was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, pending a mandatory court appearance.

On Feb. 15, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Patrolman Luis Goncalves arrested Nicholas Merced, 18, of Union, and charged him with possession of marijuana. Goncalves was contacted by a Drew public safety officer, who had stopped Merced at the front gate of the university and determined he was in possession of marijuana. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. A Drew public safety officer assisted with the arrest.

On Sunday, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Mirabella arrested Shaun Meade, 20, of Florham Park, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mirabella was contacted by a Drew public safety officer who had stopped Meade while he was parked on campus. Meade was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing, he was released pending a mandatory court appearance.

Last Thursday, at approximately 10:05 a.m., Patrolman James Cavezza arrested Jimmy Hall, 48, of Newark, on the strength of a failure to appear arrest warrant issued by Madison Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500 dollars. Cavezza was contacted by the Summit Police Department, who had Hall in custody. He was processed at police headquarters and released pending a mandatory court appearance.

The Madison Police Department, fire department, and volunteer ambulance corps responded to approximately 17 medical emergencies during the previous week. Police investigated seven motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
