A bear has been sighted in the area of Woodland and Cross Gates roads in Madison, and borough police are asking residents to "please leave the bear alone."
"We are aware of a bear on Woodland Rd/Cross Gates Rd," Madison Police said in a Nixle alert around 5:40 p.m. "Please leave the bear alone, if it becomes aggressive call police."
