Ambulance Carrying Patient Involved in Main Street Crash, Report Says

Madison police are investigating an accident that involved an ambulance being struck by a car Saturday evening as the ambulance tried to go through a red light at a Main Street intersection, according to a news report.

The ambulance was taking a patient to the hospital with its lights and sirens on when the vehicles crashed at the intersection of Main and Prospect streets, according to NJ.com.

The ambulance driver, car driver, and the patient in the ambulance—who had been hurt in a three-car accident on Main Street—were taken to a hospital, the report says.
