The following arrest information was supplied by the Madison Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Charges related to an outstanding warrant, underage alcohol purchase, and alleged domestic violence are among the incidents appearing on the Madison police blotter this week.

On July 14 at 2:19 p.m., Det. John Miscia arrested Tamara Lee of Cranford on the strength of a $250 traffic warrant issued by Millburn Municipal Court. Miscia initially stopped Lee on Main Street for an expired vehicle registration. A computer check determined there was an outstanding warrant for her. She was taken to headquarters for processing and released.

On July 12 at approximately 9 p.m., Ptl. Matthew Mirabella arrested 54-year-old Timothy Keating of Madison and charged him with simple assault. Mirabella was called to Keating’s apartment by the latter’s female friend who advised Mirabella that Keating allegedly struck her in the face with his hand. Keating was transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance.

Also on July 12 at approximately 7:45 p.m., Ptl. Ken Shannon arrested Christopher Osmun, 19, and Curtis Slaght, 18, both of Summit, and charged them with underage possession of alcohol. Shannon stopped Osmun on Union Ave. after observing him leave the Main Street Wine Cellar liquor store. He determined that he was 19 and had allegedly used false identification to purchase the alcohol. Both Osmun and Slaght were transported to headquarters for processing. After processing they were both released pending mandatory court appearances. Ptl. Chris Keller assisted with the arrest.

The Madison Police Department, Fire Department, and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to 10 medical emergencies during the week.

The police investigated nine motor vehicle crashes during the week.
