Police Make Two Separate Arrests on Same Night for Alleged Underage Alcohol Possession

Police blotter: Irvington man arrested for outstanding warrants.

Madison Police made two separate arrests in one night last week for alleged underage possession of alcohol.

Patrolman James Cavezza arrested Kirk Brabham, 19, of North Bergen, on Feb. 10 at about 8:25 p.m.  Brabham was charged him with underage possession of alcohol.

Cavezza initially stopped Brabham while walking in a parking lot of a local liquor store to check his proof of age. He determined that he had false ID on him that indicated he was 21 years old. Brabham was transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance.

Later that same night, Patrolman Sean Plumstead arrested Sara Galloway, 20, of West Nyack, N.Y. He charged her with underage possession of alcohol.

Plumstead initially stopped Galloway on Madison Avenue for a motor vehicle violation, and subsequently determined that she was allegedly in possession of alcohol. Galloway was transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance. Galloway was also issued a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.

On Feb. 9, Det. John Miscia arrested Ted Dangelo, 41, of Irvington, on three active warrants for failure to appear issued by Union Township, Newark and Irvington municipal courts.

Police said Dangelo was stopped while walking and allegedly acting suspicious in the Waverly Place area by Det. Lt. Jerry Mantone. A computer check revealed the arrest warrants. Dangelo was transported to headquarters for processing and released to Union Township authorities, pending a mandatory court appearance. Dangelo was also charged by Miscia with possession of drug paraphernalia that was allegedly discovered at the time of the arrest, police said.

The , and responded to 16 medical emergencies during the week. The police investigated six motor vehicle crashes during the week.
