9 Unlocked Vehicles Burglarized Early Thursday Morning

Police urge residents to lock their cars and remove valuable items.

Nine unlocked vehicles were burglarized early Thursday morning in the southwest side of the borough, Madison Police said.

Items taken included cell phones, cash and portable GPS units from the unlocked vehicles in the "Orchard" section of the borough, Lt. Joseph Cirella said.

Residents are asked to be vigilant in locking their vehicles and removing valuable items, Cirella said.
