2 Teens Charged With Trespassing at Drew

Newark men allegedly were warned in October not to enter campus, police said.

Two Newark teens who allegedly were told in October not to enter the Drew University campus were arrested by borough police Friday night after a Drew Public Safety officer allegedly stopped them on school grounds, Madison police said.

Daquan Yarde, 18, and Anthony Johns, 19, were arrested by Patrolman Vincent Dellavalle at 11:46 p.m. Friday and charged with defiant trespassing, according to a news release.

Dellavalle was contacted by a Drew Public Safety Officer who stopped Jones and Yarde on campus, police said. Both teens were warned on Oct. 15 not to enter the campus, police said.

Yarde and Johns were processed at police headquarters and released pending a court appearance, according to police.
