Liliam McKeown, Former Madison High School Substitute Teacher, Dies at 83

Madison resident died in her home on Saturday, June 14.

Liliam Eguiluz McKeown, 83, died Saturday, June 14 at her home in Madison, NJ.

Liliam was born in Córdoba, Argentina, Aug. 21, 1930 to David Eguiluz and Maria Hermela Caravaca y Paso. She studied at the University of Córdoba and earned a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy and a Masters degree in Biochemistry. She worked for Schering Plough and Ciba Corporation and in her later years as a substitute teacher at Madison High School, Madison, NJ. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many, Liliam was charismatic person and full of passion in her life.

She is survived by her daughters Michelle E. Sasky and Karen M. Sasky Hughes, son-in-law Mark P. Hughes and three grandchildren Evan Hughes, Lucía Hughes and Zoe Hughes. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday June 24 at 11 am at the Church of Christ the King, 16 Blue Mill Road New Vernon, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to The Alzheimers Association at http://www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp
