The Madison High School Volleyball Team has advanced to the overall State "Final Four" for the 3rd time in 4 seasons and will host the two semifinal matches this Thursday evening, November 14th (schedule below) at Madison High School.
With an impressive record of 26-4, Madison has advanced in this season's State Tournament with straight set, 2-0, victories over Middle Township, Delaware Valley and Ridgefield Park. Next up for the Lady Dodgers will be River Dell High School from Bergen County, who is a historical Volleyball power with 4 State Championship Titles to their credit (most recently in 2011).
The Lady Dodgers are coming off their 5th straight regular season Conference Championship where they have compiled a gaudy 50-0 record during that timeframe, all of which were by 2-0 scores. Supplementing the conference schedule, Madison Volleyball has traveled the State this fall and entered weekend tournaments to compete against State Powers Demarest, Mahwah, Bogota, Livingston, Watchung Hills, and Hunterdon Central
Madison Volleyball is led by three Senior Captains: Olivia Alexander, Kelly Quinn, and Margy Taylor. The balance of the Madison squad are Seniors Alise Bassolino and Maddie Hines; Juniors Erin Berger, Jen Litchfield, Brielle O'Donnell, Christina Scavone, and Ally Shahidi; Sophomores Taylor Camp and Katherine Clark. At the helm of the program are Head Coach, Steve Fenton, and Assistant Coach, Hector Martinez.
