American Association of University Women honors WAVES of World War II

The Madison branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will honor the WAVES, a group of 90,000 women who joined the armed forces during World War II.

Nancy Castellano, a resident of Madison, was one of the WAVES. She has since written a book about her experience as a member of the WAVES and worked as a teacher in the Morris Township/Morris School District for 43 years. Her book will be on sale at the event and the proceeds will benefit the MCREA scholarship fund.
