Favorite Shore Towns to Be Repped at Benefit

Sandy relief party this weekend in Madison will have attendees sporting clothes from shore towns. Which Jersey beach is your favorite?

It may be freezing, but those attending a Hurricane Sandy relief fundraiser at St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison on Saturday night are expected to bust out clothes reminiscent of boardwalks and beaches.

Organizers have asked attendees to wear clothing from their favorite shore towns.

Saturday's fundraiser is supporting relief efforts in Union Beach, a hard-hit town Madison officials have partnered with, though there are many favorite destinations along the Jersey shore that could be represented at the party.

What shore town is your favorite, and will you be wearing it Saturday night? Let us know in the comments.

The fundraiser in the St. Vincent Martyr Church gym to support the Union Beach Disaster Relief Fund is scheduled for 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday. Tickets $25 a person. Cash bar, light fare, and live music by Jumping the Gun and House Rockers. Hosted by the Interfaith Council of Madison in coordination with the Madison-Union Beach Partnership. RSVP: MadisonHelpsUnionBeach@gmail.com.

We're really excited about this event. It's a great opportunity to forget the cold, connect with neighbors and support a good cause. It's not too late to go if you haven't mailed a check in - you can pay at the door, but it would help us in planning if you sent us a quick email at madisonhelpsunionbeach@gmail.com to let us know to expect you. See you there!!
