Week in Review: Tough Budget Decisions

Borough Council votes to terminate part-time teen center employees; BOE talks out different scenarios.

Budget talks started taking center stage in the borough this week, as tough decisions will be made from now until the end of next month.

On Monday, we told you about Once and Again Consignments, a newer clothing store in its location. We also told you about a small fire at Nicky's Firehouse Restaurant that only closed the establishment for a few hours. We also gave you the story of Madison's hot dog vendor.

On Tuesday, we told you about how the Borough Council voted to terminate the contracts of two part-time workers for the Madison Teen Center, with the YMCA as the eventual spot for the borough's teen services. We also told you how the Madison High School ice hockey team advanced in the Haas Cup tournament. The girls basketball team fell to Chatham.
