Week in Review: Dog Days of Summer Include Smiles

Lots of happy individuals featured this week, including, yes, dogs themselves.

Madison Patch often features people in the borough having a good time, and smiling. But this week seemed to have more than usual. From youth sports participants enjoying some summer action, to beagles finding new homes thanks to St. Hubert's, there were a lot of happy people on our site this week.

On Monday, we told you about how a Madison resident stole, among other things, copper piping from a borough home, causing a flood. We also told you about the latest Shakespeare Theatre production, "Arms and the Man." We also told you about Picklelicious, a vendor at the Madison Farmers Market.

On Tuesday, we brought you photos from the Summer Music/Art Show at Madison Junior School. We also gave you images from a weather-shortened Madison Barracudas swim meet. Finally, we told you about the rescued beagles who had new homes thanks to St. Hubert's.

On Thursday, we told you about how the Madison Board of Education has a short list of candidates to take over as interim superintendent, but that they haven't contacted any of them as of yet. We also told you about how some borough officials feel about the new 2 percent property tax cap. Finally, we brought you a story on the Madison 11-year-old Little League squad, which fell in the District 1 Tournament.
