Week in Review: Celebration and Honoring

Madison students honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the town celebrates the Jets' recent success.

It was a week for the people in the borough to honor and celebrate.

On Monday, we showed you how students, faculty, and guests honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Madison Junior School. We also told you about the Madison High School ice hockey squad and the indoor track team's trip to the NJSIAA meet in Toms River.

On Tuesday, we told you about how the Madison and Chatham joint sewer meeting woudl be getting some much-needed upgrades. We also told you about the spring classes Playwrights Theatre was offering at a discounted rate. Finally, we broke down the weekly police blotter.

On Wednesday, you found out about the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored January Shopping Days that were taking place from Thursday-Saturday. We also showed you how Madison High School bowler Jason Maulbeck's stellar season was continuing against Jefferson and the tough loss the girls basketball team suffered against Vernon.

On Thursday, you got to see how the Madison High School boys basketball team took its undefeated streak to double digits against Arts. We also showed you how the Board of Education was going to help New Jersey try to secure a federal grant. Finally, we told you about the last indoor track meet of the season at Drew University for the high school squads.
