Week in Review: Baby it's Hot Outside

Heat wave hits borough, causing train delays, water use restrictions, and the need to stay cool.

This Fourth of July weekend had beautiful weather, but that turned into dangerously high heat in the beginning of this week. The extreme temperatures were something that borough residents had to endure and traverse carefully.

On Monday, we told you about the Madison Community Pool and why it's a great place to cool off this summer with an article and multimedia slideshow. We also told you about the Kennedy family, who was helping soldiers overseas during the holiday weekend through Operation Paperback. We also brought you the latest from the Madison Fire Department and what they've been up to in keeping the borough safe in the monthly Fire Focus.

On Tuesday, we brought you coverage of the heat wave that had already started rearing its head over the weekend. We gave you safety tips from Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps Captain Jim DeVico. We also told you where all of the Madison High School graduates who were heading to college were taking their courses in the fall.
