Water Restrictions Remain in Place

Residents urged to follow odd-even schedule for watering.

The Madison Water Department reminds residents that restrictions on certain water usage remains in place durign July and August.

At the Borough Council's recent meeting, Council President Dr. Vincent Esposito urged residents to do what they can to conserve water.

Water for outdoor uses such as lawn and shrub watering, and washing of cars, driveways and sidewalks is restricted to alternate days depending on the address of a home or business.

Even-numbered addresses are permitted to use water outdoors on even-numbered days, alternating with odd-numbered addresses on odd-numbered days.

Outdoor water usage is prohibited on Aug. 31.

Water use on appropriate days is permitted from 12:01 to 8 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to midnight. There is no outdoor water use permitted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
