Trash Not Picked Up Tuesday? Leave It On The Curb

Hauler came through Tuesday evening and will come through Wednesday morning before doing its normal route.

If your trash wasn’t picked up on Tuesday as scheduled, the borough is asking you to leave it on the curb.

Road closures were one reason some trash was not picked up as scheduled Tuesday in Madison. The other reason was it took the hauler between two and three hours to get to the Parsippany transfer station with its first load. The transfer station was not extending its hours at that time, and the hauler could not get back for another load.

Borough Administrator Ray Codey called the county and the transfer station’s hours were extended. The hauler was able to send a second truck Tuesday evening to finish the route. The hauler will finish Tuesday’s route at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, then complete its usual daily route. Earlier this week, the borough delay a switch in its trash collection schedule for a week.
