Madison High School Sports Rescheduled

Rescheduled dates have been announced for the varsity sports slate that was washed out (slushed out?) by rainy weather on Tuesday:

• Girls basketball hosting Dover High School: Jan. 27
• Boys basketball at Dover: Jan. 19

Bowling at Butler has not yet been rescheduled.

Indoor track competitng at the Morris County Championships at Drew University will go on as scheduled Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

With icy conditions for the morning commute, had a two-hour delayed opening Tuesday.

The Madison Police Department has advised motorists to use caution when driving. There were no incidents reported due to the wintry weather. The borough's Public Works crews spent the night clearing roadways.

New Jersey Transit rail and bus is service experiencing delays of up to 20 minutes, and system-wide cross-honoring is in effect.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Morris, Warren and Sussex counties with 3 to 6 inches possible before mixing with and changing to sleet and freezing rain.

The precipitation will change to all rain during the late morning hours as temperatures rise above freezing.
