Nicholas Kristof, School Budget Forum, 'Music Man' This Week

Nicholas Kristof: New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Nicholas Kristof will discuss his book "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" at Drew University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Registration for the event is currently closed. Unclaimed tickets will be released at 7:15 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis to any unregistered guests who wish to attend.

School Budget Forum: A forum on the school budget is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library.

'The Music Man': Over 100 Madison students ages 9 to 18 are set to perform the musical “The Music Man” Thursday through Sunday this week. 'Last Night I Dreamt I Ate a Marshmallow and When I Woke Up My Pillow Was Gone!': The Green Golly Project presents their wonderful musical program for children 11 a.m. Friday at the Madison Public Library.

Easter Fun Fest: The Madison Chamber of Commerce is preparing to bring the Easter Bunny and plenty of candy and toy-filled Easter eggs to downtown businesses during its 5th Annual Easter Fun Fest from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. This year, the Chamber has invited the Madison High School Interact Club to provide face painting for the children. Interact will be collecting donations for their international charity organization, Smile Train, which provides operations for children born with cleft lip and cleft palate.
