Baptist Church Marks MLK Birthday

Traditional Poor Man's Meal on tap.

The will renew a tradition to mark the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The Church commemorates King's birthday today at 34 Cook Ave. The program begins with a time of fellowship at noon with the annual poor man's meal of beans, cornbread and salad.

At 1 p.m., the Rev. Dr. Charles H. Smith will speak on "The Post Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Era."
