Mayor: Perlaw, Sena 'Secret to Madison's Spirit'

Mary-Anna Holden honored both long-time teacher and electrician/veteran who both recently passed away.

Mayor Mary-Anna Holden spent about 10 minutes honoring two life-long residents who recently passed away at this week's Borough Council meeting.

Alice Perlaw, Madison Public Schools librarian and the longest-serving teacher in New Jersey history, and Nicholas A. Sena Sr., a veteran and electrician, passed away last week. Holden's speech told of the lives of the two, and how they each touched countless people over the years. Perlaw was 95 and Sena was 90.

Attached to this article is video of Holden's speech. The entire speech can be found here.
