Map Pinpoints Madison Townwide Garage Sales

A piano, novelties, antiques, toys and sheet music are among the items that will be on sale at more than 20 garage sales throughout Madison on Saturday—and, if you want help plotting which sales to visit, there's a map for that.

Twenty-eight garage sales were listed on the borough's website, RoseNet.org, as of Friday evening, along with a map pinpointing each garage sale's location.

Some of the money residents earn during the townwide garage sale Saturday could help send children affected by Superstorm Sandy to summer camp.

Madison has partnered with Union Beach to help the shore town recover from the storm, and the borough is asking residents who host garage sales on Saturday to donate a percentage of their proceeds to send children from Union Beach to camp.

Residents can register through the website to have their garage sales added to the map. New garage sales are added after a quick review by an administrator, according to a blog post about the feature by 10flow, the builder of the website's content management system.
