Library to Close for Two Weeks for Asbestos Removal

Abatement project scheduled to begin March 28.

The will close for approximately two weeks beginning March 28 for an asbestos abatement project.

The Library's regular schedule will be in effect through March 27.  

All children's programming will be cancelled during the closing. Any other programs scheduled to take place in the main library building will also be cancelled.

Since the Chase Auditorium is a separate building, all programs scheduled to take place there during the closing will go on as planned.

On March 28 at 10:30 a.m. Deborah Farrar Starker will share some of her experiences from her recent trip to Tanzania. The Wednesday Night at the Movies series will feature Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps on March 30 at 7 p.m. and The Kids Are All Right on April 6 at 7 p.m.

Community organizations including the Drew Minicourse series co-sponsored by Drew University and the Friends of the Madison Library will continue to meet.

Library cardholders are encouraged to use the reciprocal services offered by all public libraries in Morris County as well as the public libraries in Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Bernards Township, Bernardsville and Long Hill.
