Library Re-Opens, Last Council Meeting This Week

A look at the week ahead in the Rose City.

Library Opens: The asbestos removal project at the Madison Public Library "has been successfully completed" and will open at 10 a.m. Monday, according to a notice on the borough website.

Last Meeting: The Madison Borough Council has its final meeting of 2012 on Monday, with Councilmen Don Links and Dr. Vincent Esposito's terms on the council up at the end of the year. The public portion of the meeting is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers at Hartley Dodge Memorial.

Museum Tour: The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts is holding a curator tour starting at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Curator of Collections Siobhan Fitzpatrick will lead an in-depth exhibit tour. Free for members, $8 for non-members.  Pre-registration required: 973-377-2982 x14.

Board of Education: The Madison school board's public meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library. A report by the superintendent on the district's audit is one of the items on the agenda.
