The long Memorial Day weekend means there's lots of time to get out, get active, and have some fun during the traditional start to the summer. Our combined Planner offers myriad choices of places and activities for adults, kids and families.

Where/When: Sunday at 2 p.m. at  in Madison.
Why Go: All-level Karma Yoga and Community Yoga classes for people of all levels.

Where/When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the  in Morristown.
Why Go: You’re interested in seeing over 100 artifacts from the museum's costume collection, ranging from the 18th to 20th centuries.

Why Go: Seniors can enjoy a "walk-only" trail ride and enjoy the beautiful trails of the Lord Stirling Park Stables.

Why Go: Because Sparkee at the Somerset Patriots are honoring all scouts and their leaders with a pre-game parade. Come dressed in uniform and pride!

Why Go: To honor our veterans and show our national pride.

When/Where:  May 28 through 30, through the streets of Somerville.
Why Go: It's the "Kentucky Derby of Cycling"  Family and kid activities, music and more await you at the finish line. 
Pricing: Free.

When/Where: Monday, May 30 on Somerville's Main Street. The parade begins at 9 a.m. The Kid's Pavilion as well as the sports and music festival activities are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: To say "thank you" to our veterans, and to keep in step with a live music festival.
Pricing: Free.

When/Where: Monday, May 30 at 9:30 a.m. at  in Bernards Township.
Why Go:  To wave a flag, thank a veteran, and show your pride. Besides, everyone loves a parade.
Pricing:  Free.

GRAB & GO KIDS PLANNER 

Where/When: From 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the . 
Why Go: Sing and dance to Broadway and pop music in this new group for children ages 8 to 12. The events culminate with a performance in June.
Pricing: Check with Madison YMCA website.

Where/When: From 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday at  in Chatham.
Why Go: Because children ages 6 to 11 can learn about turtles at the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center.
Pricing: $3

Where/When: At 6 p.m. (ages 6 to 8) and 7 p.m. (ages 9 to 13) on Friday at  in Springfield.
Why Go: Because children ages 6-13 can learn the ins and outs of chess for free.
Pricing: Free

Where/When: From noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the . Why Go: Kids ages 5 and older are invited to conduct experiments and observe the results. This week, kids get to make their own sidewalk chalk.
Pricing: $3 for non-members, and free for members.

When/Where: Saturday, May 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at  in Bernards Township.
Why Go: For children ages 12 to 15 to fulfill community service requirements for school.
Pricing: Free.  

When/Where: Sunday, May 29 at 9:30 a.m. at  in Bernards Township.
Why Go: For children pre-K to grade three to enjoy activities, crafts, games and an understanding of the spiritual messages of the Bible.
