Interactive Electric Utility Talk, Group Walk on Tap in Madison

Plenty going on this week, including your chance to catch a Summer Seminar.

Electric Utility Presentation, Q&A: An informal presentation and Q-and-A about the  Madison Electric Utility and what it means to residents of Madison is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at .

Madison is one of only a handful of municipalities in New Jersey that owns and operates its own electric utility.

Mayor Bob Conley and Councilman Vincent Esposito, the council liaison to the utility, are planning an informal and interactive presentation. Residents are encouraged to attend and ask questions, according to an announcement for the meeting.

Summer Seminars:  Dr. Allan C. Dawson, assistant professor of anthropology at , , and how their colonial pasts impact their economic and social present, at 2 p.m. Monday at the . The lecture is part of the 28th Annual Summer Seminar Series co-sponsored by the library and the Madison Senior Center.

Park Avenue Paving: Following work by Matina & Son Utility Contractors on Park Avenue, including inspection of the sanitary force main between North Street and Ridgedale Avenue, Morris County is expected to begin repaving and restriping the road.
