Harlem Wizards, Boro Budget, Gun Buyback This Week

Borough Council: Madison's governing body is scheduled to meet at 8 p.m. Monday at Hartley Dodge Memorial. Discussion of the budget is expected.

Board of Education: The Madison school board is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library.

Harlem Wizards: The Harlem Wizards take on The Professors of Phunk on Thursday at Madison High School. See Madison staff members take on the Wizards. The event is presented by the Class of 2013 and proceeds will benefit “Graduation Gala 2013.” Refreshments and souvenirs will be sold, and there will be a free autograph session. 7 p.m. show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. (6 p.m. for VIP ticket holders.) VIP tickets $25. Advance tickets $15 adults, $10 for students and seniors. $20 and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online or through an order form on school district website.

Gun Buyback: A gun buyback program run by state, county and municipal authorities is coming to St. Paul Inside the Walls, 205 Madison Ave., on Friday. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Madison police and other area law enforcement agencies are offering the gun buyback amnesty program next week to allow Morris County residents to turn in their unwanted guns to police for cash with no questions asked.
