Gun Law Discussion, Book Launch, Museum Tour This Week

A look at the week ahead in the Rose City.

Borough Council Meeting: Gun laws are expected to be a topic of discussion at the Madison Borough Council meeting scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday at Hartley Dodge Memorial. "Assault weapon legislation and equipment demonstration" is one of the items on the agenda. Colin Dunne taking the volunteer firefighter oath, the awarding of various contracts, and a presentation recognizing The Friends of the Madison Shade Trees also is on the agenda.

Museum Tour: Join Curator of Collections Siobhan Fitzpatrick as she leads an in-depth exhibit tour 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts.  Pre-registration required.  $8 for non-members, free to members.  To register call 973-377-2982 x14.

Book Launch Event: Madison resident and author Cali Williams Yost Yost's new book, "Tweak It: Make What Matters To You Happen Every Day," is scheduled to discuss her book from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sages Pages on Main Street in Madison. Yost will be interview by Julie Burstein, Peabody Award-winning WNYC Radio producer and best-selling author of "Spark: How Creativity Works," at the event.
