Fallen Tree Closes Woodland and Pomeroy Roads

Police asking drivers to avoid the area.

Irene continues to wreak havoc in the borough as police announced the closing of two streets on Sunday night via a Nixle alert.

According to the alert sent out at about 8:30 p.m., police have closed Woodland Road between Midwood Terrace and Cross Gates Road, as well as Pomeroy Road between Dogwood Drive and Edgewood Road, after a tree fell onto powerlines.

Police are asking drivers to please avoid the area.
