Concussion Seminar, Aura Readings, Budget Hearing This Week

A look at the week ahead in the Rose City.

Borough Council: Madison's governing body is scheduled to meet on Monday, with the public portion of the meeting beginning at 8 p.m. at Hartley Dodge Memorial. A budget hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

Concussion Seminar: An educational program about concussions designed for parents, coaches and administrators is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library media center. Speakers are to include John Gallucci Jr., medical coordinator for Major League Soccer and president of JAG Physical Therapy, and Diana Toto, exercise physiologist and program coordinator
for the Matthew J. Morahan Health Assessment Center for Athletes at Barnabas Health. The event is open to the public and registration starts at 4:30 p.m.

Blood Drive: A blood drive at the Madison Area YMCA, 111 Kings Road, is scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. January is National Blood Donor Month.

Art Exhibit: The opening reception for from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday. The event is free.

Walgreens Grand Opening: The Madison Walgreens is hosting a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with music, giveaways, entertainment, snacks and a ribbon cutting. Madison Yoga & Tai-Chi plans to provide free aura readings at the event from 2 to 4 p.m.

TJS Adult Social: Club TJS, the fifth annual Torey J. Sabitini School PTO fundraiser is scheduled for 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton Park Hotel, 175 Park Ave., Florham Park.
