Children and teens can check out a college basketball game for free this weekend.

The NCAA men’s basketball has run the “Take a Kid to the Game” program for 14 years, but this will be the first year that will participate. The match-up is a division rivalry game between Drew and Catholic University Saturday at 2 p.m.

With the admittance of one adult, children and teens 17 or younger can watch the Rangers play for free. There will also be chances to win prizes like T-shirts and games at halftime.

“We want them to see that there is a college in the area that has a smaller knit community,” said Christina Buchanan, the marketing and promotions coordinator for sports information at Drew University. “It’s a Division-III school, but with sports like a Division-I atmosphere.”
