Bottle Hill Day, Capital Budget Q-and-A on Tap in Madison

A look at the week ahead in the Rose City.

Capital Budget Process Public Information Meeting: Residents are invited to an informal public information meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in Hartley Dodge Memorial to discuss the capital budget process. No formal action will be taken at the meeting. Madison officials will be available to answer any questions about capital spending and how priorities are set.

Planning Board: The Planning Board is scheduled to continue reviewing and discussing signage plans for the Walgreens under construction at 122 Main Street at its 7:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting in the courtroom at Hartley Dodge Memorial, as one of the items on the agenda.

Bottle Hill Day: The annual community festival and street fair that draws thousands of people to downtown Madison with music on four stages, a rock climbing wall, car show and food court

Marching Band Competition: The Tournament of the Bands is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at Madison High School. The public is invited to attend for $10 admission at the gate.

T.J. Martell Foundation: The T. J. Martell Foundation For Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS 18th Annual Walk and Family Fun Day is scheduled for Sunday, starting and finishing at the Madison Area YMCA. Registration starts at noon and the 3-mile walk through Madison, including Drew University, starts at 1 p.m. Organizers hope to raise $150,000.
