5 Things You Need to Know This Week

The week gets started with a Martin Luther King Day remembrance, and there's plenty else on the calendar to keep you and yours busy.

Tuesday — Baby Rhymetime, 10:30 a.m., , 39 Keep St. For babies 0-24 months this storytime uses songs, nursery rhymes, oral stories, and fingerplays to introduce language, concepts, play, and other early literacy skills. The boys bowling team travels to Rockaway Lanes to take on Butler at 4 p.m., and wrestling hosts Dover at 7 p.m.

Wednesday — Read to a Dog, 7 p.m., . Children ages 6-10 can practice their skills reading to licensed therapy dogs. This program is designed to build confidence and vocabulary while children enjoy reading to their furry friends!
