Drew 5K Run Saturday Supports Children's Cancer

Registration for Ranger Run begins at 9 a.m., proceeds raised will benefit Katy's Courage.

Each year, the Drew University Student Athletic Advisory Committee picks a charity to support.
This year, the committee of student-athletes is hosting a 5K run to raise money for Katy's Courage, a non-profit, Morris County based organization that offers support, bereavement services and education about pediatric cancer.
On Saturday morning, April 12, registration begins at 9 a.m. and the annual 5K Ranger Run starts at 10 a.m. The run is open to the community and proceeds raised from the event, which takes place entirely on the Drew campus, will be donated to Katy's Courage.
Participants are invited to walk or run and will get a free t-shirt for taking part in the event. You can register here: http://www.drew.edu/events/events/ranger-run-5k/
Jennifer Rockett, assistant athletic trainer for Drew University, said the committee is made up of representatives from all of the 18 teams at Drew. Students work together all year long to provide functions for student athletes and to build a relationship between Drew and the greater Madison Community.
Drew University is located at 36 Madison Ave. in Madison.
