L'Allegria is our favorite Italian restaurant when we want to be treated like royalty. Everything is wonderful from the decor to the delicious food and the impeccable service.

Sorry...my favorite Italian restaurant isn't in Madison, it's in Florham Park, and it's called Nonna's. Great food and great service. You can't get near the place on the weekend.

Amici's hands down! Food is great, service is wonderful and you get great value for your money. You get big portions and the food is always great!

This poll is akin to asking which of your children is your favorite - impossible - because they're all great! We tend to order from Romanellis the most (eating there is a lot of fun with the kids), but I am eagerly anticipating the newly redone Nickey's Firehouse. The chicken parm subs at Amicis are enormous and delicious. Like I said - how can you possibly choose which is your favorite?

The best by far is Il Mondo Vecchio, but it's not a fair fight since most of the others are little more than pizza parlors. Also, as much as I like it, the Garlic Rose is not an Italian restaurant.

That's a hard list to make a choice from since they're all such different places. My favorite would depend on what we were eating out for (my favorite place to eat out for my birthday or anniversary is far different than where we order from most often... or our favorite family place). Touch call.

I go to Nicky's all the time great food, great people, and nothing too fancy. Too many Italians places in Madison though honestly..
