Gary’s participation, along with three other Madison purveyors, brings more than 30 wine, beer and spirits tables to the event. This makes the Taste of Madison not only a culinary showcase, but also one of the best and largest wine tasting events held in the state each year.

VIP admission tickets include early entry to the Taste at 6 p.m. After Feb. 17, VIP tickets will be available for $100 each.

General admission tickets, which are also available now at Gary’s stores and online, are $65 each and permit event entry starting at 7 p.m. The Taste concludes at 9:30 p.m.

The Taste features a 50/50 raffle and an entire banquet room devoted to tricky-tray and silent auction items donated by Madison’s merchants and friends of Madison.

More than 450 guests attended the 2012 Taste at the Park Avenue Club and more than 30 restaurants and merchant stores provided the best in food and wine to guests.

The Taste of Madison is produced by a partnership of the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, Madison Downtown Development Commission and the Rotary Club of Madison. In 2012, net proceeds of $36,000 were shared equally by the three organizations in order serve their respective missions: The Chamber promotes business development, DDC implements civic improvements, and Rotary funds charitable causes.

The mission of the Taste of Madison is to host a sophisticated fundraising tasting event by working in concert with the generosity of Madison’s restaurants and purveyors of fine wine for the benefit of all Tastes guests.

The goal of the Taste of Madison is to showcase the best of Madison and to help make Madison a better place.

The chairs of the Taste of Madison for the second consecutive year are David Morozoff of the Rotary Club of Madison, Maureen Byrne of the Madison Downtown Development Commission and Danielle Torrani Dixon of the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce.

The three chairs lead a committee of select volunteers from the partner organizations. The Borough of Madison provides planning and marketing support.
