Madison Stores Offer Senior Discount Day on Tuesdays

Public asked to nominate local business or employee for Extra Mile Award.

Madison businesses invite local shoppers 62 years old and above to enjoy special discounts every Tuesday during Senior Discount Day, a new program of the Madison Chamber of Commerce.

Most of the group's 41 participating businesses are offering a 10% discount on purchases. Some have greater discounts, while others are offering great values every day of the week, the Chamber said. Check with participating stores for exact details and restrictions because each merchant is setting its own terms for Senior Discount Day.

Participating stores will display a window decal denoting that they have a special offer for seniors.  You may also visit the Chamber website at www.madisonnjchamber.org for a complete list of participants.

The Chamber has also re-introduced the Extra Mile Award, for Madison employees and business owners who provide outstanding customer service. These individuals will be recognized for that extra-special friendly and knowledgeable service, which truly makes a difference in the customer’s shopping experience.
