Happy Belated Halloween!

Many merchants expected to welcome trick-or-treaters today.

John Morris, president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that there is no organized distribution of Halloween candy by Madison's merchants planned for today.

“But I hear that some -- if not many -- merchants have candy and they are eager to share it with children in costume,” he added.

With the weekend’s snowstorm and power outages, the borough “re-scheduled” Halloween trick-or-treating for today.

Morris also reported that the Chamber's Halloween Parade scheduled for Sat, Oct 29 was canceled by the storm and will not be rescheduled.

The Chamber's Halloween Magic Show on that same day; however, was moved indoors to the safety of the Madison Junior School gym and “was a big success,” he said.
