Families Fill Downtown for Easter Egg Hunt [VIDEO]

Despite rainy weather, hundreds turn out for fourth annual Easter Fun Fest.

Colorful baskets, balloons, raincoats and umbrellas brightened Madison's downtown Saturday for the fourth annual Easter Fun Fest.

On what was shaping up to be an otherwise dreary day, hundreds of children and families went from business to business in search of candy-filled plastic eggs and snapped photos with the Easter Bunny.

For the 30 participating merchants, the event was an opportunity to share with the community and show off what is new for the spring, said John Morris, president of the , which sponsors the event.

Madison's downtown has been busy, Morris said.

"The main thing we see is people are shopping and dining Madison," he said.
