College Students Settle Into Madison Campus

Classes start this week at Drew University.

Madison's population is a couple thousand college students bigger this week.

Members of Drew University's newest class moved in to campus Friday, and remaining undergraduates are scheduled to move in Monday.

Drew has a total enrollment of approximately 2,300 students in its College of Liberal Arts, Theological School and the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies. Around 95 percent of students live on campus.

Undergraduate orientation over the weekend included tours of downtown Madison, and first-year students are scheduled to participate in service projects on Monday, including mulching around the playground at Cornerstone Child Care Center at Grace Episcopal Church in the borough.

Classes start Tuesday. Madison public schools are back in session on Friday.
