Madison: Open for Art Kicks off Month-Long Show

Local merchants host work of more than 80 artists.

Madison: Open for Art kicked off its month-long run Sunday as a roster of two dozen borough merchants hosted works from more than 80 local artists.

The event is a non-profit partnership between the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance (MACA), ILOVit Gallery and Ira L. Black Photography and runs through May 31.  The partnership brings together local artists, businesses, and the community for the purpose of establishing an educational scholarship.

All works of art in the exhibition are for sale. A large portion of the proceeds will fund the first Madison: Open for Art Educational Scholarship to be awarded to a student pursuing a career in art.
