The Spotlight Kids Company Performs Laurel's Gift, an original play

The Spotlight Kids Company, a performing arts company, will be presenting their first show on June 16th, 2012 at 3:00 in the afternoon. It is open to everyone and it is free. It will take place at Grace Church in Madison, NJ. It should last about a half an hour.

The show is an original, written by the
cast, and it is called Laurel’s Gift. The creative process that went into this play included writing the script, a 7-paged Microsoft Word document. Then they got up on the stage and took it from there. The director, Kathryn McManus, just guided them along the way. “We have a great group of kids for this show. The show is about a big family, and even though each kid has such a different personality in real life, but they come together like a real family,” says Kathryn McManus, director of Laurel’s Gift and founder of the Spotlight Kids Company. “They really make the show come to life on the stage.” She says. “Our goal is to get a big audience and just have fun,” says actress Kristin McManus, who plays the Narrator in the play.

Come see Kristin and all of the other
aspiring actors and actresses in Laurel’s Gift. They want a big audience, and they all hope to see you there!

Laurel’s Gift was a big success, with over 40 people in
attendance. The storyline was loved by all who saw it. The costumes and hair made it believable, and the acting was phenomenal. Thanks to everyone who supported the cast!
