The 6th Annual Colombia Independence Day Fiesta will take place on Sunday, July 22 from 1:00-6:00. The event, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Madison, will include a full menu of Colombian food favorites such as empanadas, chuzos, chorizo, arepas, etc. For entertainment, dancing to the music of Maskao, popular 9-member dance band, playing merengue, salsa, vallenato guaranteeing a crowded dance floor! Also on tap will be a children's folklore dance troupe, and other surprises.
Proceeds raised at this event will be directed to the renovation of a rehabilitation center for developmentally disabled children in Filandia, Quindio, the town from which most of Madison's Colombian population originate. Admission is free. Come join the fun.
