Mara & Bitter Suite at Downtown Concert Series

The Downtown Concert Series on the lawn of the features indie folk rock band Mara & Bitter Suite from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The band was started by composer and conductor Adam Waite and Broadway actress and singer Mara Davi, who met while recording Broadway's Carols for a Cure in 2006. After collaborating on concerts for Birdland, Ars Nova, and Lyrica Chamber Orchestra, they decided to find their own sound, according to an announcement for the event.

The Downtown Concert Series is a lineup of free, Friday evening, family-friendly concerts held every other week. In case of inclement weather, concerts are held inside the museum with first come first serve seating.
