Join Madison's talented and dedicated Marching Band students for a car wash on Sunday July 18th.  This event will be located at 250 Main Street in the parking lot of Hollenbach Family Chiropractic who has graciously offered their support.

These enthusiastic teens will be putting down their instruments and flags to grab sponges and soap in order to raise money for desperately needed safety equipment, uniforms, and instruments

This past school year, Mr. Russ Batsch, Madison High School Director of Bands, and his ALL-volunteer staff, fielded Madison High School's first marching band in over 20 years. Mr. Batsch's team and students dedicated 30 plus hours of practice during the summer of 2009 in which they learned music, marching skills, drill team routines, and choreography. Following that, 35 Marching Dodgers performed at Madison High School football games, the Holiday and Memorial Day Parades, Bottle Hill Day, and Madison Elementary School Halloween Parades.  They exhibited their first competitive routine at the West Essex High School Band Competition to a standing ovation. This was quite an outstanding achievement for our students who previously never represented Madison in such an event before. The Marching Dodgers Band members raised their own funds during the school year so that they may travel to Boston and perform at several venues this past Memorial Day weekend.  They also returned in time to delight us at our hometown parade.

The Marching Dodgers Band program has doubled in size for this coming school year.  Their commitment has increased by even more. The students have dedicated triple the time to perfect their marching skills, musical talents and to welcome the incoming freshman this summer.

The Madison High School Marching Dodgers Band and all of our schools' Arts programs are winning choices for students and our community. Beyond the musical experience, you will be supporting teamwork, leadership, organization, and confidence.

It is remarkable how far the Marching Dodgers have come in just one year, greatly due to the dedication and talent of Mr. Batsch, his team and our students.  Dedication and talent is not enough. These students and their families want to take this Marching Band to the next level and school funding is limited.  They want to proudly represent Madison with the proper attire and equipment.

Please, come get your car washed on Sunday July 18th -- and support Madison's

Students' success and hard work!
