Sunday: Madison Artist Studio Tour

On Sunday, the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance (MACA) will once again sponsor the “Madison Artist Studio Tour.”

This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.

Twenty-six artists and photographers who live and/or work in the Madison area will be participating in this event. The Madison Artist Studio Tour, organized to introduce and promote the visual artists in the borough, will feature the participating artists’ work either in their studios or in exhibition spaces throughout the Rose City.

The participating artists include Medy Bozkurian, Marco Catini, Ally Coultas, John DeLade, Ed Birch, Karen Matte, Paul Mueller, Priscilla Petitti Flores, Barbara Thompson, Shawn Backe, Monika Stebbins, Ian Thompson, Sandra McBryan, Sally Lebwohl, Maria Lupo, Dennis McKee, Ryan McCarthy, Thomas Somerville, Michael King, Nino Tsereteli, David Gavasheli, Julie Healy and David Rush.

The art will be available for viewing at the following locations: , , , , , , Lupo Studios, , and . Additional locations may be added prior to the event.

The June 10 studio tour will be launched at 10 a.m. with a community-based puzzle project on Waverly Place where children and families are encouraged to be creative. Maps designating each artist’s location will be sold for $5 each around town at various Madison locations. They will also be sold on Waverly Place, near the community-based art project, on the day of the studio tour. The public is invited to a post-tour reception at 5:30 at on Park Avenue.

Maps of the tour may be purchased for $5.00 in advance at Drip, 34 Main St; Rose City Framemakers, 20 Waverly Place; Tivoli Creative Design, 4 Cook Place.    

Maps will also be sold on the day of the event at the MACA table on Waverly Place, behind the Madison clock.
