 Portraits in song: Renaissance Italy from Ciconia to Petrucci – A program of songs and instrumental music by composers drawn from fifteenth-century Italian sources and ranging from Johannes Ciconia (c. 1370-1412), whose music still appears in Venetian manuscripts from the 1420s, to the pioneering collections issued at the turn of the century by the first great printer of music, Ottaviano Petrucci.  There will be a pre-concert coversation at 7:15pm and the concert will begin at 8:00pm.
