da Camera Concerts - Merynda Adams

Merynda Adams, harpist, made her New York debut to a sold out Carnegie Recital Hall as a 1994 winner of the Artists International Competition. She has been described by the Newark Star Ledger as having “played the harp with color and great facility” and is in demand as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the Metropolitan area. Christopher Collins Lee studied violin and composition at Curtis and Juilliard, earned a Doctorate degree, was a Fulbright Scholar, and has been awarded four Honorary Doctorate degrees. As an Official Musical Ambassador of the U.S. Department of State, he has played thousands of concerts worldwide under their auspices, including forty solo concert tours of Asia. In his youth, he introduced the violin to parts of Tibet, Singapore and the island of Macao. One of his recordings was chosen to represent human culture on the Voyager Time Capsule, which is now leaving our solar system.

The evening’s program includes works by Elgar, Grandjany, De Falla, and Saint-Saëns.

The concert begins at 8:00 PM. Pre-concert chat begins at 7:15 PM.
