Winners Announced in Annual Chamber Decoration Contest

Chamber of Commerce awards gift certificates in annual Outdoor Home Decorating Contest.

Residents warmed to the spirit of the holidays—and a little friendly competition— as the Madison announced the winners of its annual Outdoor Home Decorating Contest.

Winners of two grand prizes in the annual event were the Arnstein family, 14 Noe Ave., and the Cucchiara family, 306 Woodland Rd. Each received a $100 Chamber of Commerce gift certificate, an engraved plaque and a sign for their front lawn.

An array of awards were presented at a ceremony Dec. 16 at the Madison Community House. Each theme winner received a $25 Chamber of Commerce gift certificate, a certificate of acknowledgement and a sign to be placed on their property:

  • Most Elegant: The Nugent family, 35 Lawrence Rd.
  • Most Tasteful: The Cardwell family, 16 Highland Ave.
  • Most Creative-First Time Entry: The Zienowicz family, 152 Park Ave.
  • Most Colorful: The Colligan family, 3 Pine Tree Terr.
  • Best Storybook Theme: The Punola family, 210 Central Ave.
  • Picture Perfect: The Lein/Williams family, 24 Anthony Dr.
  • Winter Wonderland: The Vilarino family, 42 Lorraine Rd.
  • Most Traditional: The Wickens family, 18 Glenwild Rd.
  • Most Creative: The Lang family, 7 Canterbury Rd.
  • Old-Fashioned Christmas: The Mantone family, 282 Woodland Rd. 
  • Best Sparkling Holiday: The Lejewski family, 2 Woodside Rd.
  • Home for the Holidays: The Picillo family, 24 Niles Ave.
  • Honorable Mention went to the Patel family, 8 Park Lane
